About

I am Tanzina Alam Chowdhury, currently serving as the Chairperson of the Department of Law (DOL) at Premier University. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to shaping legal education, ensuring quality, and fostering a safe and inclusive academic environment.

As the Head of the Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC) for the Department of Law, I focus on maintaining and enhancing academic standards. My role as the Convenor of the Eve Teasing and Sexual Harassment Prevention Committee allows me to work actively towards creating a safer space for students and faculty alike.

Beyond my department, I contribute to university governance as a Member of the Disciplinary Committee and the Academic Council. I also serve on the Editorial Board of Premier Critical Perspective, engaging in critical legal and interdisciplinary research.

Previously, I was a Member of the Syndicate at Premier University from August 2011 to September 2018, playing a key role in policy-making and institutional development. Additionally, I led the Self-Assessment Committee (SAC) under the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) from 2017 to 2018, ensuring academic excellence and institutional progress.

With a deep passion for legal education and institutional development, I strive to uphold the highest standards of integrity, governance, and academic excellence in everything I do.
