A delegation from Premier University’s central debating organization, the Premier University Debating Society (PUDS), paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Premier University, Professor S. M. Nasrul Quadir, on Monday, 09 February 2026, at 3:00 pm.
The meeting was held in recognition of PUDS’s recent achievements, including becoming Runners-up in the Inter-University National Debate Competition organized by the School of Debate, University of Chittagong, and qualifying for the Final Round of the Inter-University English Debate Competition (Novice category) organized by the Asian University for Women.
During the meeting, the Honorable Vice Chancellor congratulated the PUDS debaters and stated that debate practice plays a vital role in developing students’ logical reasoning, leadership skills, and self-confidence. He also mentioned that PUDS has been enhancing the image of Premier University at the national level, which is a matter of great pride for the institution. He assured continued full support for all constructive debate-related activities of the university in the future.
He further encouraged students to remain disciplined, maintain academic excellence, and actively participate in co-curricular activities.
Also present at the meeting was the University Registrar, Mohammad Iftekhar Monir, who stated that PUDS is not merely a debating organization but a platform for leadership development, and that these achievements will inspire future debaters.
Others present at the courtesy meeting included Julia Parvin, Chief Moderator of PUDS, and moderators Saifuddin Munna and Faria Hossain Barsha.
Representing the debating team were the recently former President of PUDS Ismail Hossain Tanmoy, along with Fazlul Al Mahmud Ayon, Kazi Fardin Aladin, and Ramisha Tarannum.
At the end of the meeting, PUDS expressed sincere gratitude to the Honorable Vice Chancellor and the university administration and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Premier University’s representation at both national and international levels.
