Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Premier University Held.
A meeting of the Board of Trustees of Premier University was held on 5 February 2026 (Thursday) at 6:00 PM at the Premier University campus located at GEC Circle, Chattogram. The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation and Honorable Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Premier University, Dr. Shahadat Hossain.
Among those present at the meeting as members of the Board of Trustees were, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Premier University, Professor S. M. Nasrul Quadir, and the Secretary of Chattogram City Corporation, Mr. Mohammad Ashraful Amin. In addition, Mr. Md. Mahbub Alam Talukdar, Member (Finance) of Chattogram Port Authority, and Dr. Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, Divisional Director (Health), Chattogram, joined the meeting online as board members. Also present at the meeting was the Registrar of Premier University, Mr. Mohammad Iftekhar Monir.
At the meeting, it was mentioned as a significant and prestigious achievement for Premier University that the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), the national authority responsible for quality assurance in higher education, has decided to award accreditation certificates in favor of five undergraduate academic programs—Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), B.A. (Honours) in English, Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Honours), B.S.S. (Honours) in Economics, and B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE)—and a Certificate of Confidence in favor of the B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program. On this occasion, gratitude was expressed to the Bangladesh Accreditation Council, and detailed discussions were held regarding the next steps.
The meeting also included detailed discussions and necessary decisions on various important matters related to the university’s convocation, physical infrastructure, overall development, administrative activities, quality enhancement of education, and future plans. In his concluding remarks, the Honorable Chairman called upon all concerned to work sincerely and in coordination to properly implement the decisions taken.
